This essay aims to explore the concept of citizenship taking as its starting point four analytical positions present in contemporary discussions; the assumptions that make up its hard nucleous; the aspects that arise from any consideration of the space and the context that define specific groups of citizenship; the factors that determine the criteria for the inclusion or exclusion of individuals in the category of citizens; and the trans- transformation that can be observed in discourse and in the political-cultural values that constitute the physionomy of citizenship
