dc.description	La encuesta “Percepción sobre el gobierno y aspectos de la coyuntura en Costa Rica, 2023” estuvo a cargo del equipo investigador del Programa Umbral Político del Instituto de Estudios Sociales en Población (IDESPO) de la Universidad Nacional (UNA). Este estudio se levantó en el Centro Tecnológico de Investigación Social (CETIS) del IDESPO, vía telefónica del 3 al 13 de marzo de 2023, bajo la supervisión de su personal. El objetivo de esta encuesta fue estudiar las percepciones sobre el gobierno y aspectos de la coyuntura nacional, durante el año 2023. El cuestionario empleado para este estudio estuvo conformado por 16 ítems, asociados a variables vinculadas con el tema principal de la encuesta; al mismo tiempo, se incluyen algunas variables de tipo sociodemográficas como sexo, edad, nivel de escolaridad, adscripción a práctica religiosa y la percepción de la condición económica del hogar, las que permiten describir las características de la población encuestada. En este informe, para el apartado específico de análisis de coyunturas en el ámbito nacional, se empleó, además de la encuesta, otras metodologías tales como la búsqueda y revisión de notas de prensa publicadas en medios nacionales digitales, atinentes a los temas vinculados a las coyunturas nacionales, esto se logró gracias al apoyo del equipo de estudiantes asistentes del Programa Umbral Político. También se llevó a cabo el análisis de las tendencias de búsqueda en internet, particularmente en Google, gracias a la colaboración especial por parte de los académicos de la Universidad Nacional, Adrián Ramírez Fernández y Esteban Martínez Porras, adscritos a la Sede Interuniversitaria.
dc.description	The survey "Perception of the government and aspects of the current situation in Costa Rica, 2023" was conducted by the research team of the Programa Umbral Político of the Instituto de Estudios Sociales en Población (IDESPO) of the Universidad Nacional (UNA). This study was carried out at the Centro Tecnológico de Investigación Social (CETIS) of IDESPO, via telephone from March 3 to 13, 2023, under the supervision of its staff. The objective of this survey was to study perceptions about the government and aspects of the national situation during the year 2023. The questionnaire used for this study consisted of 16 items associated with variables related to the main topic of the survey; at the same time, some sociodemographic variables were included, such as sex, age, level of schooling, religious practice and perception of the economic condition of the household, which allow us to describe the characteristics of the surveyed population. In this report, for the specific section on the analysis of national situations, in addition to the survey, other methodologies were used, such as the search and review of press releases published in national digital media, related to issues related to national situations, which was achieved thanks to the support of the team of student assistants of the Programa Umbral Político. The analysis of Internet search trends, particularly in Google, was also carried out, thanks to the special collaboration of academics from the National University, Adrian Ramirez Fernandez and Esteban Martinez Porras, assigned to the Inter-University Headquarters.
