| dc.description | Na primeira metade do século XX, o folheto passa a ser o suporte material, o veículo de uma cultura em que a oralidade ainda é predominante, percorrendo por todo o sertão, alçando maior amplitude por todo o Nordeste, atingindo as cidades e feiras do interior, transitando entre as bibliotecas dos folcloristas, entre os salões das grandes propriedades e pelas mãos dos vaqueiros e peões. É nesse espaço entre a oralidade e a escrita que situamos a produção do cordel. Essa produção cultural não se dissocia da forma como esses autores trabalhavam. Nesse sentido, faz-se necessário aclarar as condições de publicação e de circulação dos folhetos de cordel, e analisar as condições históricas que possibilitaram, nas primeiras décadas do século XX, a circularidade da literatura oral em versos e como essas narrativas ganharam a forma impressa. In the first half of the twentieth century, the leaflet becomes the material uphold, the vehicle of a culture in which the orality is still predominant, roaming around the backcountry, spreading widely throughout the Northeast, reaching the cities of the interior and fairs, transiting between the libraries of folklorists, in the halls of large properties and the hands of cowboys and farm hands. This is the space between the oral and written where we situate the cordel production. This cultural production does not dissociate the way these authors worked. In that sense, it is necessary to clarify the conditions for the publication and circulation of leaflets and analyze the historical conditions that allowed, in the first decades of the twentieth century, the circularity of oral literature in verse and how these narratives won the printed form.
