| dc.description | A partir da análise das diversas narrativas sobre o evento o Maior São João do Mundo em Campina Grande - Paraíba, procurou-se mostrar como a festa junina reúne em tomo de si um conjunto de imagens, símbolos, ícones, temporalidades e múltiplos sentidos, que estão dispersos no interior da cultura e no imaginário social da festa. A heterogeneidade desses elementos é responsável pela formação de um tecido cultural híbrido, pois reproduz e alimenta a concepção da festa junina como um bloco imagético-significativo unitário em torno das quais são realizadas as mediações e a construção da teia de significados que enreda o discurso sobre a identidade regional e da cultura nordestina. Based on the analysis of the various narratives about the event called “The greatest St. John's Feast of the world”, the takes place in Campina Grande - Paraíba, it has been intended to show how St. John's Feast gathers around itself a set of images, symbols, icons, temporalites and multiple senses that are dispersed inside the culture and in the social imaginary of the feast. The heterogeneity of these elements is responsible for the formation of a hybrid cultural net, for it reproduces and feeds the concept of St. John's Feast, as a unique imagetic-significative block around which mediations are perfomed and the construction of a tangle of meaning that entangles the discourse about regional identity and of the identity of northeastern Brazilian culture.
