| dc.description | O presente artigo objetiva analisar a concepção freyriana do Cristianismo brasileiro dos tempos coloniais e pós-coloniais. Com base na origem plástica do português, a religião se plasmou em um círculo heterodoxo de exegeses, a enaltecer e homenagear influências de povos e de crenças diversas. O trinômio racial — responsável pela formação do Brasil — fundiu-se num cristianismo lusitano que já não possuía formas rígidas de comportamento. E o congraçamento místico acaba por elaborar um quadro singular com predisposições seculares que enriquecem a idéia de transcendência. O patriarcalismo, com a figura do pater familias a pontificar o sistema, adota um cristianismo sui generis, através de uma paisagem religiosa pautada em fortes laços de imbricamento. Índios, brancos e negros sincretizam os seus postulados, formulando princípios com requintadas tipicidades que vão desaguar no ritmo muito próprio de uma religião flexível, doméstica e generosamente sensual. This article aims to analyze Freyre’s thought on Brazilian christianism in colonial and postcolonial times. Based on Portuguese people plastic origin, religion became a heterodox circle of exegesis, exalting and ennobling the influences of different societies and diverse creeds. Racial trinomial responsible for Brazilian formation - has been united in a Lusitanian christianism which did not show severe forms of behavior anymore. So a mystic unity gave birth to a singular situation characterized by secular tendences that have enriched the idea of transcending. Patriarchalism, were pater familias is in the top of the system, adopts a sui generis kind of christianism in which the religious field shows solid internal links. Indians, white people and blacks have synchronized religious postulates, and their principles have refined characteristics that have been developed following the tune of a kind of religion that shows itself as being flexible, domestic, and generously sensual. | pt-BR |
