dc.description	This article focuses on the work of yatiris prisoners, ritual specialists who officiate Andean ritual offerings on behalf of inmates who require their services. These offerings, given to the principal supernatural beings of the Andean pantheon the day before sentencing, serve to obtain the prisoner release or at least a significant reduction of his sentence. Therefore, yatiri is asked not only to act as a specialist in the cure of diseases, but he is considered a sort of «lawyer», advocating for his clients inmates, through the special relationship he could set with the Pachamama and Achachilas, the spirits of the mountains. In an unusual scenario for the study of certain ritual practices, we will see how the yatiris help inmates to find the «meaning» of prison experience through their own traditional tools, making the prisoner still part of a community that, once free, could return to accept him.	en-US
dc.description	Este trabajo se centra en la labor de los yatiris reclusos, los especialistas rituales andinos que ofician ofrendas rituales por encargo de los detenidos que solicitan sus servicios. Éstas, entregadas a los seres tutelares del panteón andino el día anterior a la sentencia, sirven para favorecer el proceso de excarcelación del cliente recluso o por lo menos una significativa reducción de la pena. Por tanto, al yatiri se le pide no solamente que actúe como especialista de la cura de las enfermedades, sino también que sea un «abogado», intérprete de la ley y defensor de sus clientes reclusos, a través de la relación privilegiada que puede establecer con la Pachamama y los Achachilas, los espíritus de los cerros. En un escenario tan inusual para el estudio de ciertas prácticas rituales, veremos como el yatiri da respuestas al por qué de la reclusión a través de sus propias herramientas tradicionales, haciendo sentir al preso todavía parte de una comunidad que, una vez libre, podría volver a aceptarle.	es-ES
