| dc.description | The objectives of the article are to explain the economic crisis in Zulia state in the context of the First World War and the Great Depression and to analyze the relationship between the state and the private sector during those crises. To carry out this research, the historical method was used with the analysis of documentary sourceslocated in local and national archives. It is concluded that the crisis of international capitalism obstructed the prosperity of Zulia state, despite that its impact was mitigated due to an economy that was beginning to expand due to oil exploitation. | en-US |
| dc.description | Los objetivos del artículo son explicar la crisis económica en el estado de Zulia en el contexto de la primera guerra mundial y la Gran Depresión y analizar la relación entre el Estado y el sector privado durante esas crisis. Para realizar esta investigación se utilizó el método histórico con el análisis de fuentes documentales localizadas en archivos locales y nacionales. Se concluye que la crisis del capitalismo internacional obstruyó la prosperidad del estado de Zulia, pese a eso su impacto se vio mitigado debido a una economía que comenzaba a expandirse por la explotaciónpetrolera. | es-ES |
