| dc.description | Abstract: The innovation carried out by the Brazilian Federal Supreme Court to allow the mass media to transmit live and integrally part of their judging sessions has divided opinions regarding virtuosity or the devaluation of the practice in a way that does not exist until then a minimum of theoretical consensus on its suitability. Due to the legal characteristics and the normative effects of certain judgments given by the constitutional courts in the judicial review of normative acts, it is understood that the establishment of widely publicized and transparent regimes is genuinely a real elementary duty of States in the 21st century.Keywords: Constitutional jurisdiction. | dc.description | Resumo: A inovação levada a cabo pelo Supremo Tribunal Federal brasileiro de permitir que os meios de comunicação de massa transmitam ao vivo e integralmente parcela de suas sessões de julgamento tem dividido opiniões no que concerne à virtuosidade ou ao desvalor da prática, não havendo, até então, um mínimo de consenso teórico sobre a sua conveniência. Em razão das características jurídicas e dos efeitos normativos advindos de certos acórdãos proferidos pelas cortes constitucionais na fiscalização constitucional de atos normativos, entende-se que a instauração de regimes de ampla publicidade e transparência trata-se, genuinamente, de um verdadeiro dever elementar dos Estados Democráticos no transcorrer do século XXI.Palavras-chave: Jurisdição constitucional.
