dc.description	The present article presents, from a comparative standpoint, an overview of the way inwhich certain thinkers from Río de la Plata and Nueva Granada conceived of and spokeabout the mélange of sexes. Based on a corpus of writers from the “generación del ’37” inRío de la Plata and from the “generación santanderista” in Nueva Granada, the article willexplore not only their speech in this regard, but also the context they were part of and thedegree to which they were linked to larger concerns about social order and organization.	en-US
dc.description	El presente texto pretende, a partir de una perspectiva comparada, ofrecer un panoramade cómo algunos pensadores rioplatenses y neogranadinos concibieron la melange de lossexos y se pronunciaron sobre ésta. Sobre la base de un corpus de escritos pertenecientes ala “generación del ’37” rioplatense y a la “generación santanderista” en la Nueva Granada,se estudiarán no sólo los discursos al respecto, sino también el contexto en el que estosse inscribieron y el grado en que estuvieron vinculados a preocupaciones mayores sobreel orden y la organización social.	es-ES
