Utilizing qualitative methodology, as well as indirect documentary sources, this article aims to deconstruct the table dance erotic industry in Mexico, taking into account the context of free trade and the expectations it exploded. The explanation takes into account context, symbols and institutions. The article further analyses the conceptual aspects of the signification of the body and pornotopia and posits the category of poliperformatividad as an aggregate of performative acts in order to understand the semiotics of the table dance. Using the stories as its basis, this serves to measure the problem of social stigma within the collective of erotic dancers in Mexico.Con la utilización de una metodología cualitativa, además de fuentes documentales indirectas,esta investigación se propone desnaturalizar la industria erótica del table dance en México. Seconsidera el contexto del libre comercio y las expectativas que éste detonó. La explicaciónconsidera lo contextual, lo simbólico y lo institucional. A partir de la significación del cuerpoy de la pornotopía, se analizan sus contenidos conceptuales. Se ofrece también la categoría depoliperformatividad, como un agregado de actos performativos, con el propósito de entenderla semiótica del table dance. Esto sirve, a partir de los relatos, para dimensionar el problemadel estigma social dentro del colectivo de bailarinas eróticas en México.
