dc.description	This work ponders upon the problems that museums are facing in regards to the semiotic- discursive handling of their cultural legacy. It also deals with the main tendencies of museums according to their primary focus, either on cultural material or public. This work classifies the main tendencies of research on museums of the world and restates new models for the investigation of and in the museums.
