dc.description	This article expands on the problematic subject of the tra ditional markets in the Latin a merican cities, recently described as in declivity and/or capitalized by their content (local foods) or their container (buildings). i t also analyzes the relation between the proces ses of gentri fication/requalification and the roll of the markets re lated to them. Here, the local and located individuals and social groups apparently affected, ne gotiate and dispute those processes of public and/or private requalification.
