| dc.description | In recent years there has grown interest in understanding development from other vi-sions of analysis, this debate integrates subjective well-being, since it is given a direct relationship with the levels of satisfaction or happiness of a society (UNDP, 2012) , So that it has come to consider the own valuation of the subjects by the lived experiences, in contexts of migration. The paper aims to show the relationship between the use of international remittances and their effects on subjective well-being, as well as their implications in the family and local environment, through a focus group on the wives of migrants. The study is particularly located in the community of Caltimacán, in the state of Hidalgo, characterized by its high migration to the United States. The results show that the remittances in the households of the interviewed women had a positive effect on the subjective well-being, so it is inferred that this income contributes to im-prove the level of satisfaction and happiness of the families of the locality of interest. | en-US |
| dc.description | En los últimos años ha crecido el interés por entender al desarrollo desde otras visio-nes de análisis, a este debate se integra el bienestar subjetivo, ya que se le otorga una relación directa con los niveles de satisfacción o felicidad de una sociedad (PNUD, 2012), por lo que se ha llegado a considerar la valoración propia de los sujetos por las experiencias vividas, en contextos de migración. El trabajo tiene por objetivo mostrar la relación entre el uso de las remesas internacionales y sus efectos en el bienestar subjetivo, así como sus implicaciones en el ámbito familiar y local, a través de un grupo focal a esposas de migrantes. El estudio se sitúa particularmente en la comunidad de Caltimacán, en el estado de Hidalgo, caracterizada por su alta migración hacia Estados Unidos. Los resultados obtenidos muestran que las remesas en los hogares de las mu-jeres entrevistadas tuvieron un efecto positivo en el bienestar subjetivo, por lo que se infiere que estos ingresos contribuyen en mejorar el grado de satisfacción y felicidad de las familias de la localidad de interés. | es-ES |
