| dc.description | The human migrations are a mirror of movements between border, so by their nature are dynamic, changing and more sensitive than the forecasts themselves; such is the case of Haitians in Mexico. Suddenly we are face to face with a new and uncertain migratory scenario “Haitians on the Mexican border”, migrants who see Mexico as a transit country; but which sometimes remain longer time than anticipated. A reflect of this is, the National Migration Institute of México has registered between May-November 2016 to 17 thousand Haitians in the border cities of Tijuana and Mexicali, none requested refuge in Mexico, however, if they have requested it United States of America (USA). The International Migration Observatory of the National Population Council had provided evidence of the phenomenon, since in its data recorded that they went from 199 requests of refuge to USA in 2010 to almost five thousand in 2015. | dc.description | Las migraciones humanas dan cuenta de los movimientos entre fronteras, por lo que, por su misma naturaleza son dinámicas, cambiantes y más sensibles de lo que los mismos pronósticos anticipan; tal es el caso de los haitianos en México. De pronto nos encontramos ante un nuevo e incierto escenario migratorio de haitianos en la frontera mexicana, migrantes que ven a México como un país de tránsito; pero que en ocasiones permanecen más tiempo de lo previsto. Para dar cuenta de ello, el Instituto Nacional de Migración registró entre mayo-noviembre de 2016 a 17 mil haitianos en las ciudades fronterizas de Tijuana y Mexicali, ninguno de ellos a la fecha ha pedido refugio en México, no obstante, si lo han solicitado a Estados Unidos de Norte América (EUA). El observatorio de migración internacional del Consejo Nacional de Población había aportado evidencia del fenómeno, pues en sus datos registró que pasaron de 199 solicitudes de refugio a EUA en 2010 a casi cinco mil en 2015. | es-ES |
