| dc.description | In Chile, during the recent years, we can gradually observe the deployment of social demands that have the format of social movements in various citizenship contexts. One of the highlighted areas is the one of health in different keys. In this article we consider mainly the one that refers to the current emergence of a social conscience connected with the problems of wellness and life. The main example we use, and that encompasses the subject of this article, is the Ricarte Soto Law, which has a double interpretative axis. On the one hand, manifesting socially a discontent for the health conditions, and in the other hand, pointing to a controverted field and not stabilized in institutional terms: the so called uncommon and emergent diseases. Here, we evaluate the theoretical relevance of the concept of bio-citizenship and expose the emergency of two forms of individualism that make viable the use of this category. | en-US |
| dc.description | En Chile, durante los últimos años, podemos observar gradualmente el despliegue de demandas sociales que tienen el formato de movimientos sociales en diversos contextos de ciudadanía. Una de las áreas resaltadas es la de la salud en diferentes claves. En este artículo consideramos principalmente el surgimiento actual de una conciencia social relacionada con los problemas del bienestar y la vida. El ejemplo principal que usamos, y que abarca el tema de este artículo, es la Ley Ricarte Soto, que tiene un doble eje interpretativo. Por un lado, manifestando socialmente un descontento por las condiciones de salud, y por otro, apuntando a un campo controvertido y no estabilizado en términos institucionales: las llamadas enfermedades poco comunes y emergentes. Aquí, evaluamos la relevancia teórica del concepto de biociudadanía y exponemos la emergencia de dos formas de individualismo que hacen viable el uso de esta categoría. | es-ES |
