| dc.description | The article is a critical review of four speeches framed in the period of chilean centenary with the purpose of understand their production, both textually and contextually, structured from the prevailing paradigm: the project of modernity and its (in)consistent process of modernization, as well as the notion of progress which is linked to both. The analysis shows how each of these discourses raises critically about the historical situation of the country, always from the paradigms of modernity which are understood as phenomena and processes of permanent transit that lead to a future state of perfection and happiness of mankind and society, materially and morally, that is, pointing to a betterment of humanity, based primarily on reconciliation between people and reality, between men and nature, and why not, a reconciliation between the men themselves: elites and the masses subservient to them. | en-US |
| dc.description | El artículo es una revisión crítica de cuatro discursos enmarcados en el período del centenario chileno con el fin de entender su producción, tanto textual como contextualmente, estructurada a partir del paradigma imperante: el proyecto de la modernidad y su (in)consecuente proceso de modernización, además de la noción de progreso que se liga a ambos. El análisis demuestra cómo cada uno de estos discursos se plantea críticamente respecto a la situación histórica del país, siempre desde los paradigmas propios de la modernidad los que son entendidos como fenómenos y procesos de tránsito permanente que conducen a un estado porvenir de perfección y felicidad de los hombres y la sociedad, tanto material como moralmente, es decir, que apuntan a un mejoramiento de la humanidad, basado, principalmente, en la reconciliación entre los hombres y su realidad, entre los hombres y la naturaleza, y, por qué no, una reconciliación entre los hombres mismos: las elites y las masas subordinadas a ellas. | es-ES |
