| dc.description | O conceito de Recurso Demográfico fundamenta esta análise, que tem como pano de fundo o processo histórico e as circunstâncias que levaram ao surgimento e crescimento das aglomerações urbanas. A partir do surgimento das primeiras civilizações, evidencia-se a importância da instância “recurso demográfico” para o aparelhamento e institucionalização do Estado em seus primórdios. Durante a Idade Média, há um processo crescente de tensão no âmbito das disputas de poder e da busca de um equilíbrio social. No século XVIII, essa complexidade galga uma nova e, para alguns, definitiva era, tendo como corolário a ordem global atual. O esforço de entendimento desse processo evidencia diversos desafios conceituais, entre os quais deve-se ressaltar o de caracterizar a denominada cidade global – espaço privilegiado onde o capital e a informação apresentam uma mobilidade que descaracteriza os tradicionais conceitos de fronteira. Enfim, a proposta aqui alicerçada busca constituir uma análise pela qual o processo histórico possa se aproximar de um ideal de totalidade, e, como conseqüência, possa oferecer melhor compreensão do momento histórico atual. | pt-BR |
| dc.description | The concept of Demographic Resource sets the groundwork for this analysis of the social process posing a background for the historical process, particularly because of the circumstances that lead to the emerging and growth of the urban agglomeration. Since the appearance of the first civilizations, it has been evident the importance of this instance (demographic resource) for the equipping and institution of the state in its origin. During the Middle Ages these relationships plunge into an increasing process of tension due to disputes of power and the constant search for social balance. In the 18th century this complexity goes into a new, and to some people, a definite era. The consequence being this current global order. The effort in grasping this process understanding shows diverse conceptual challenges, during which we should make noteworthy and characterize the denominated “Global City” – privileged space where capital and information presents a mobility that distorts the traditional concepts of borders. Finally, the proposal tries to constitute an analysis through which the historical process can approach an ideal of completeness and consequently an improved understanding of the current historical moment. | en-US |
