dc.description	Social, economic, environmental and health aspects of the hydrographic basin of the Coruja-Bonito river, in Braço do Norte, SC, are presented as examples of socio-environmental conditions in regions with intensive swine production. 186 questionnaires were applied to four agricultural communities. The agriculture industry presents lower incomes whencompared to the cattle and agro-industry. Basic sanitation is precarious in many cases. Hog raising is an environmental degradation factor.	en-US
dc.description	Aspectos sociais, econômicos, de saúde e ambientais na bacia hidrográfica do rio Coruja-Bonito, em Braço do Norte - SC, são apresentados como exemplos das condições socioambientais em região com produção intensiva de suínos. 186 questionários foram aplicados em quatro comunidades rurais. A agricultura apresenta menores rendas em relação à pecuária e agroindústria. O saneamento básico é precário em muitos casos. A pecuária-suinocultura é fator de degradação ambiental.	pt-BR
