Os debates relativos à questão ambiental, notadamente após a década de 1960, têm evidenciado sua importância na análise ambiental, principalmente quando da ocorrência de catástrofes naturais Natural Hazards. Os impactos do clima sobre a sociedade repercutem, dentre outros, na condição de saúde humana.
