| dc.description | The semiotic perspective of production of sense of the neo-fantastic is born from the conception of the sign as a cultural unit that produces meanings within a system (the literary text) remissory to specific knowledge overlapped in the construction of archetypal images, alogical metaphors, syntactic inconsistencies and symbols that nourish the polysemy of the text and reveal the “enigma” immersed in the conflict of the work, all of which is elaborated through the discursive strategy marked by the point of view from which the narrator is situated. Based on this semio-narratological conception of neofantastic fiction and Jung’s archetype theory, this article analyzes the significance of the archetypal figure of the Bad Place in the horizons of the diegesis of the short story “House Taken Over” by Julio Cortázar. The Bad Place is approached here as a figurative space that spurs the reader’s interpretative skills to produce various possibilities of textual significance oriented towards three complementary optics: as an invasive force that alters the status quo of the protagonists; as a taboo territory in which a communication network is established with the characteristics of fear fiction; and as an ontic circumstance of sinister effect arising from horror rhetoric and incidents separated from the norm. | en-US |
| dc.description | La perspectiva semiótica de producción de sentido de lo neofantástico nace de la concepción del signo como una unidad cultural que produce significados dentro de un sistema (el texto literario) remisorio a saberes específicos traslapados en la construcción de imágenes arquetípicas, metáforas alógicas, inconsecuencias sintácticas y símbolos que nutren la polisemia del texto y develan el “enigma” inmerso en el conflicto de la obra, todo lo cual es elaborado mediante la estrategia discursiva marcada por el punto de vista desde el cual se sitúa el narrador. Partiendo de esta concepción semio-narratológica de la ficción neofantástica y la teoría de los arquetipos de Jung, este artículo analiza la significación de la figura arquetípica del Mal Lugar en los horizontes de la diégesis del cuento “Casa tomada” de Julio Cortázar. El Mal Lugar se aborda aquí como un espacio figurado que espolea las habilidades interpretativas del lector para producir diversas posibilidades de significación textual orientadas hacia tres ópticas complementarias entre sí: como una fuerza invasora que altera el statu quo de los protagonistas; como un territorio tabú en el que se establece una red de comunicación con las características de la ficción de miedo; y como una circunstancia óntica de efecto siniestro proveniente de una retórica del horror y de incidentes separados de la norma. | es-ES |
