dc.description	This article is a semiotic analyse of a Sílvio Romero text, than builds a negative image of the German immigrants in Brazil. The same text also criticizes the tolerance of the Brazilian government about these immigrants, that can cause the foundation of a German state in the south of Brazil. Keywords: German Immigration. dc.description	Este trabalho faz uma análise semiótica de um texto de Silvio Romero, no qual o autor constrói uma imagem negativa dos imigrantes alemães residentes no Brasil. O texto contém também uma critica à tolerância do governo brasileiro em relação a esses imigrantes, o que permitiria a fundação de um estado alemão no sul do país. Palavras-chave: Imigração Alemã.
