| dc.description | Taking into account the significant number of new multinational companies that entered Brazil in the 1950s, the objective of this paper is to present the main mechanisms of state regulation of international investment and profit remittances during the stage of industrialization that took place between the second Vargas government (1951-1954) and the beginning of the military dictatorship (1964-1967). This was a period in which multinationals had considerable influence on the internal deployment of productive forces. The study focuses on discontinuities in the government’s institutional arrangements related to international capital. The analysis concentrates primarily on two questions: i) was the association with international capital during Kubitschek’s government really a rupture with the development strategy proposed by the second Vargas government?; ii) what was the essence of the most important changes in Brazilian productive internationalization following the economic reforms that were implemented as soon as the military regime took power in 1964? | en-US |
| dc.description | Ante el significativo ingreso al Brasil en la década de 1950 de nuevas empresas multinacionales, el objetivo de este artículo es presentar los principales mecanismos de regulación estatal sobre inversiones internacionales y remesas de ganancias, rescatando un momento particular de la industrialización –situado entre el segundo Gobierno Vargas (1951-1954) y el inicio de la dictadura militar (1964-1967)–, periodo durante el cual estas empresas tuvieron sustancial importancia en la implantación interna de las fuerzas productivas. La investigación se centró en las discontinuidades de los dispositivos institucionales emitidos por los gobiernos nacionales en relación al capital internacional. El eje de análisis está sustentado básicamente en dos cuestiones: i) ¿Representó de hecho una ruptura en la estrategia de desarrollo propuesta por el segundo Gobierno Vargas la asociación al capital internacional en el Gobierno Kubitschek? y ii) ¿Cuál fue el sentido de los principales cambios en la internacionalización productiva brasileña generados por las reformas económicas insertadas apenas iniciada la dictadura militar de 1964? | es-ES |
