| dc.description | Considerando la posibilidad de pensar las luchas como campo de saber, en el presente ensayo se torna pertinente y necesario contribuir a una reflexión sobre la actuación de estas desde la mirada de la educación física y de las ciencias del deporte; así como también, realizar el ejercicio de visualizar el espacio social que ocupan las luchas para la sociedad uruguaya. Por lo tanto, se volvió indispensable, debido a una construcción peculiar existente en las luchas, proponer una discusión que no se limite a los aspectos técnicos y tácticos de la práctica, sino que permita asociar estos análisis con contornos sobre los conceptos de habitus y campo, que nos permitan una construcción y delimitación, buscando comprender la intrincada relación entre las ciencias del deporte, la educación física y el universo de las luchas, desde una visión que podríamos denominar de la cultura corporal de movimiento (Bracht, 1999). Palabras clave: educación física, arte marcial, deporte de combate THINKING ABOUT COMBAT SPORT AS A FIELD OF KNOWLEDGE Abstract Taking into account the possibility of thinking about combat sport as a field of knowledge, this essay considers it pertinent and necessary to contribute to a reflection on the performance of combat sport from the perspective of Physical Education and Sports Sciences. Also, it aims at visualizing the social space occupied by combat sport in Uruguayan society. Therefore, it became necessary, due to a peculiar construction in the domain of combat sport, to suggest a discussion that was not limited to the technical and tactical aspects of the practice, but one that also allowed to associate these analysis to aspects of the concepts of habitus and field. This, in turn, allowed us to construct and delimit, seeking to understand the intricate relationship between Sport Sciences, Physical Education and the universe of combat sports, from a vision we could call the culture of body movement (Bracht, 1999).
