| dc.description | Esta investigación pretende analizar los instructivos emitidos por la Dirección de Minas, Geología e Hidrología que fueron pautando las prácticas de relevamiento y de trabajo y que llevaron a la consolidación de la cartografía topográfica que caracterizó a la institución a lo largo del siglo XX. Partimos de la hipótesis de que a medida que avanzó el siglo XX, los campos disciplinarios se conformaron y perfeccionaron, y que la topografía no fue una excepción. Sin embargo, creemos que los intentos de abandonar una cartografía topográfica que incluía cierta percepción del topógrafo, para pasar a una cartografía estandarizada técnica y visualmente, no eliminó la práctica de la fidelidad interpretativa ni la especificidad técnica (y artística) de los mapas topográficos de la Dirección, incluso hasta la década de 1970. Nos interesa poner atención en otras maneras de enseñar el oficio, a partir de prácticas diarias bajo el mirar atento de un maestro, una forma de aprendizaje que perduró en el tiempo. Creemos que estudiar los reglamentos y las normativas de las Instrucciones Internas echa luz sobre una práctica cultural y visual de trabajo topográfico. | es-ES |
| dc.description | This research analyses the instructions released by the Dirección de Geología, Minería e Hidrología (Directorate of Geology, Mining and Hydrology), in which the survey and work guidelines where defined and consolidated, as well as the topographic cartography that characterized the institution during the XXth century. We place our starting point in the hypothesis that, during the 20th century, all of the disciplinary fields where shaped and perfected, and that topography was no exception. However, we believe that the attempts of leaving behind a cartographic topography that included a certain subjectivity of the surveyor, in favor of a technically and visually standardize cartography, didn’t erased the practice of the “interpretative fidelity” nor the technical (and artistic) specificity of the Directorate’s topographical maps, even into the 1970s. Our interest lays in drawing attention towards other ways of teaching the trade, based on the daily practices under the teacher’s gaze, a learning practice that also endured until de 70s. We believe that studying the rules and regulations of the Instrucciones Internas (Internal Instructions) may shed some light into the cultural and visual practices of the topographic work. | pt-BR |
