O presente trabalho discute como as contradições internas da Igreja do ponto de vista político-ideológico se materializam e produzem um espaço contraditório na cidade do Crato - Ceará. Para tal investigação, parte-se do papel da Igreja como incorporador/promotor imobiliário, proprietário fundiário, atuante no campo dos serviços de saúde, educação, turismo, dentre outros. Contraditório a isso, outra importante forma de produção do espaço urbano se dá na lógica da Igreja libertadora, ou seja, a partir da teologia da libertação, como é o caso das ações das CEB’s e da Pastoral da Juventude do Meio Popular (PJMP). Para compreender essa discussão parte-se do materialismo histórico e dialético como fundamento metodológico de compreensão da realidade. Utilizou-se procedimentos como leitura bibliográfica, registro fotográfico, entrevistas semiestruturadas, elaboração de mapas, pesquisa documental, etc. Dessa forma, destaca-se que a contradição interna político-ideológica da Igreja se materializa no espaço geográfico também de forma contraditória.
This paper discusses how the internal contradictions of the Church's political and ideological point of view materialize and produce a contradictory space in Crato - Ceará. For this research, part is the role of the Church as developer / real estate developer, landowner, active in the field of health services, education, tourism, among others. Another important form of production of urban space is given the logic of liberating the Church, from the liberation theology, as is the case of the shares of CEB's Pastorals and the Popular Half Youth Ministry (PJMP). To understand this discussion it is part of the historical and dialectical materialism as a methodological foundation of understanding reality. It used procedures such as literature reading, photographic record, semi-structured interviews, preparation of maps, documentary research, etc. Thus, it stresses the importance of internal contradiction of the church that objective and materializes in the geographic space that contradiction.
