O objetivo deste artigo é analisar as diferentes configurações sociojurídicas dos povos do extremo norte de Moçambique, no antigo distrito de Cabo Delgado, entre o final do século XIX e início do XX. Deste modo, o interesse principal consiste em discutir o processo de transformação dessas sociedades, diante da inserção de novas categorias sociais mediante a disseminação do comércio de escravos e da implementação do domínio colonialista. ABSTRACT Some notes about human pawn, kidnapping and enslavement in northern Mozambique from the late nineteenth to early twentieth The objective of this article is analyze the differents Socio-legal configurations of the people on far north Mozambique, in the old district of Cabo Delgado, between the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Thus, the main interest is to discuss the process of these societies transformation, before new social categories insertion through the spread of the slave trade and the implementation of colonial rule.
