This paper reflects on the official royalist political discourse in the fortress of Real Felipe del Callao, between 1824 and 1826, focusing particularly on the concept of "order" and its expression in the official royalist press organs, public announcements and proclamations of the governor José Ramón Rodil y Campillo. This concept was related to a mental framework of the Old Regime, in which terms such as "nation", "Spanish nation" and others aimed to generate a representation that sought to evoke feelings of identity and identification that revolved around a set of networks of meaning and mental structures that became the ideological justification needed by the besieged to continue facing the many sufferings and deprivations that overwhelmed them day by day and that kept them in their fortresses to the limit of their resistance.El artículo reflexiona sobre el discurso político oficial realista en la fortaleza del Real Felipe del Callao, entre 1824 y 1826, incidiendo particularmente en el concepto de “orden” y su expresión en los órganos de prensa oficial realista y los bandos y proclamas del gobernador de la plaza José Ramón Rodil y Campillo. Este concepto aparecía ligado a un esquema mental del Antiguo Régimen, en el cual términos como “nación”, “nación española” y otros tuvieron como objetivo generar una representación que procuraba invocar sentimientos de identidad e identificación en torno a los cuales se construyeron un conjunto de redes de sentido y estructuras mentales que vinieron a ser la justificación ideológica que los sitiados necesitaban para continuar enfrentando los numerosos padecimientos y privaciones que los agobiaban día a día y que los mantuvieron en las fortalezas hasta el límite de sus fuerzas.
