This article addresses the issue of educational inclusion by critically reviewing regulations and theoretical discussions on the subject. The research process focuses on the implementation of inclusion politics in an educational institution, drawing attention to the contradictions between the different subjectivities and beliefs of the educational community about disability and its influence in the inclusion of students with disabilities. The main findings expose the interpretation of the inclusion approach given by principals and teachers in order to respond to the obligations set by the sector’s authority. However, they also clearly show the flaws and limitations of the sector in including without stigmatizing, in and out the classroom, while prevailing pedagogical practices according to the possibilities the institution in spite of the inclusive discourse. Incidentally, the article also examines the educational management and its importance to tackle change in education for students with said condition, the active role of the educational community to articulate in the process, and identifies valuable contributions for a new interpretation of the problem.El presente artículo aborda la problemática de la inclusión educativa, haciendo un repaso crítico por la normativa y discusión teórica al respecto, aterrizando el proceso investigativo en el estudio de la forma en que se ha venido implementando la política de inclusión en una institución educativa, poniendo de relieve la forma en que se ponen en contradicción las diferentes subjetividades y pensamientos de la comunidad educativa sobre la discapacidad y la influencia que tiene sobre el proceso de inclusión de estudiantes con discapacidad. Los principales hallazgos exponen la forma en que directivos y docentes han interpretado el enfoque de inclusión para tratar de responder al compromiso establecido desde el sector, sin embargo, a la vez ponen en evidencia las falencias y limitaciones que tiene el sector para incluir sin estigmatizar, tanto dentro y fuera de las aulas, predominando las prácticas pedagógicas desde sus posibilidades como institución ante el discurso inclusivo. Por otro lado, revisa aspectos relacionados con la gestión educativa y su importancia para hacer frente al cambio en la educación de estudiantes con dicha condición, incluso sobre el rol activo de la comunidad educativa para articularse en el proceso, identificando aportes muy valiosos para una nueva interpretación del problema.
