dc.description	En este aniversario del IDESPO queremos compartir con la comunidad universitaria y nacional, algunos productos cosechados con el esfuerzo de estos veintiocho años de servicio. La serie de conferencias que se han programado con motivo de esta celebración intentan, pues, mostrar aspectos relevantes de algunos programas y proyectos que alberga nuestro Instituto. En esta ocasión, corresponde al Programa Consultoría en Investigación, Asistencia Técnica e Información Estratégica hacer una presentación de las cuestiones que se han venido trabajando, ya sea en su dimensión de investigación, docencia y extensión social. En particular, el Programa de Consultorías, como lo denominamos al interior del IDESPO, busca ofrecer a las instituciones públicas y privadas una información estratégica sobre las variables demográficas, socioeconómicas y culturales que caracterizan el desarrollo de la sociedad costarricense. Por consiguiente, a los efectos de hacer una exposición sintética respecto de algunas cuestiones sobre las que, en estos años de servicio, se han hecho aportes significativos al acervo del saber universitario y la conciencia nacional, articulamos estas palabras en dos partes: la primera, para mostrar la ubicación (epistemológica y ético-política) de las investigaciones sobre opinión pública en el marco del quehacer de la Universidad Nacional; la segunda, para abordar dos cuestiones específicas sobre las que se ha ido forjando una opinión pública en nuestro medio: los problemas de la legitimidad institucional y la cuestión de la corrupción.
dc.description	On this anniversary of IDESPO we want to share with the university and national community, some products harvested with the effort of these twenty-eight years of service. The series of conferences that have been programmed on the occasion of this celebration try to show relevant aspects of some of the programs and projects that our Institute hosts. On this occasion, the Research Consultancy, Technical Assistance and Strategic Information Program will present the issues it has been working on, whether in its research, teaching or social outreach dimensions. In particular, the Consulting Program, as we call it within IDESPO, seeks to offer public and private institutions strategic information on the demographic, socioeconomic and cultural variables that characterize the development of Costa Rican society. Therefore, in order to summarize some of the issues on which, in these years of service, significant contributions have been made to the university knowledge and national conscience, these words are divided into two parts: the first, to show the location (epistemological and ethical-political) of research on public opinion within the framework of the work of the National University; the second, to address two specific issues on which public opinion has been forged in our environment: the problems of institutional legitimacy and the issue of corruption.
