| dc.description | This article analyzes the remittances effect on the inequality and income poverty, in the municipality of Santa Ines Yatzeche, in the State of Oaxaca. To achieve the objective, in 2011 we conducted a survey of 117 questionnaires covering 54.9% of heads of households in the community. With the information derived from the structure of household income, the Gini and Foster- Greer-Thorbecke (FGT) coefficients were calculated for total income. Results indicate values of 63.3%, 72.7% and 88.9% for the incidence of food poverty, capability and patrimony, respectively. | en-US |
| dc.description | Se analiza el efecto de las remesas sobre la desigualdad y la pobreza por ingresos, en el municipio de Santa Inés Yatzeche, en el Estado de Oaxaca. Para alcanzar el objetivo, en 2011 se realizó una encuesta a 117 jefes de hogar, que representó 54.9% del total de jefes de la comunidad. Con la información derivada de la estructura de ingresos de las familias, se calcularon los coeficientes de Gini y Foster-Greer-Thorbecke (fgt) para el ingreso total. Los resultados indican una baja concentración del ingreso, coherente con el valor encontrado de 0.363 para el coeficiente de Gini. Respecto de la incidencia de pobreza alimentaria, capacidades y patrimonio, se encontraron valores de 63.3, 72.7 y 88.9%, respectivamente. | es-ES |
