dc.description	The article provides an introduction to the so-called affective turn, summarizing its main lines of development and key problem areas. It adopts a qualitative and reflexive approach, grounded in a review of specialized literature on the subject, aiming to explore the epistemological shift towards affects and emotions and their contribution to the social sciences. First, it examines the antecedents of interest in affects within western philosophical-political reflections and among the classics of social thought. Then, it addresses the discussion arising from the dialogue between the affective turn and the linguistic turn, with the aim of identifying ruptures and continuities between language/discourse and affects/emotions. Next, it examines the conceptual distinction between affect and emotion, recognizing that this differentiation does not constitute an insurmountable barrier within the framework of the affective turn, but rather allows for progress toward a sociopolitical, materialist, and critical understanding of affects and emotions. In this sense, the final section offers a reflection and raises some questions about the contribution that affective-emotional perspectives can make to addressing contemporary social issues.	en-US
dc.description	El artículo brinda una introducción al denominado giro afectivo, que sintetiza sus principales líneas de desarrollo y áreas problemáticas clave. Se adopta un enfoque cualitativo y reflexivo, fundamentado en la revisión de literatura especializada en el tema, con el objetivo de explorar el desplazamiento epistemológico hacia los afectos y las emociones, y su contribución al campo de las ciencias sociales. En primer lugar, se examinan los antecedentes del interés por los afectos en el ámbito de las reflexiones filosófico-políticas occidentales y entre los clásicos del pensamiento social. Luego, se aborda la discusión que surge del diálogo entre el giro afectivo y el giro lingüístico, con el propósito de identificar las rupturas y las continuidades entre el lenguaje/discurso y los afectos/emociones. A continuación, se indaga en la distinción conceptual entre afecto y emoción, reconociendo que esta diferenciación no constituye una barrera insuperable dentro del marco del giro afectivo, sino que permite avanzar hacia una comprensión sociopolítica, materialista y crítica de los afectos y las emociones. En este sentido, el último apartado plantea una reflexión y abre algunos interrogantes sobre la contribución que pueden brindar las perspectivas afectivas-emocionales para pensar problemáticas sociales contemporáneas.	es-ES
