dc.description	This article gathers part of the results of my doctoral research on the intellectual diffusion of Marxism and feminism in Uruguay in the nineteenth century. Here I take up the thought of Paulina Luisi (1875-1950) and Emilio Frugoni (1880- 1969) on women’s suffrage, particularly their rationale for claiming political rights. The primary sources of the research were their bibliographical productions and unpublished documents. The purpose is to approach their contributions, ambivalences and legacies from the peculiarity of their thinking on the subject.	en-US
dc.description	El presente artículo recoge parte de los resultados de mi investigación doctoral en el tema de la difusión intelectual del marxismo y el feminismo en el Uruguay del Novecientos. Aquí retomo el pensamiento de Paulina Luisi (1875-1950) y Emilio Frugoni (1880-1969) sobre el sufragio femenino, particularmente sus fundamentos para reclamar los derechos políticos. Las fuentes primarias de la investigación fueron sus producciones bibliográficas y documentos inéditos. El propósito es acercarnos a sus contribuciones, ambivalencias y legados desde la peculiaridad de su pensamiento sobre el asunto.	es-ES
