| dc.description | Spain is among the countries with the highest life expectancy rate in the world. This fact, together with the low and stagnant birth rate, makes it one of the oldest. In this context, the study of the well-being of the elderly takes on special importance. This paper offers a review of the literature on studies that have focused on the analysis of subjective well-being of the elderly, paying special attention to the case of Spain. In particular, we focuse on those analysis of the dimensions of subjective well-being. After the research, it is prooven that there are few studies that focus on the old adult and their subjective well-being, especially those related to income or economic situation of the household. This lack raises important problems when implementing social policies that favor the protection of this vulnerable group. | en-US |
| dc.description | España se encuentra entre los países con la tasa más elevada de esperanza de vida del mundo. Esto, junto a la baja y estancada tasa de natalidad, lo hacen uno de los más envejecidos. En este contexto, el estudio del bienestar de los mayores cobra especial importancia. Este trabajo ofrece una revisión de la literatura sobre los estudios centrados en el análisis del bienestar subjetivo de los mayores con especial atención al caso de España. En concreto, se focalizan los análisis de las dimensiones del bienestar subjetivo. Tras la investigación se comprueba que son escasos los estudios que se centran en los mayores y en su bienestar subjetivo, sobre todo los relacionados con la renta o situación económica del hogar. Esta carencia plantea serios problemas a la hora de implementar políticas sociales que favorezcan la protección de este colectivo en situación de vulnerabilidad. | es-ES |
