dc.description	In this article we reflect on the processes of memory and treatment of the past elaborated in / about Nicaragua. 1979 and 1990 mark the dates of the last two political transitions in Nicaraguan history. Despite their differences, both processes argued that the construction of the new Nicaragua meant forgetting the immediate past that preceded them, be it that of the Somoza dictatorship or the Sandinista revolution. Forgetting the past or using it instrumentally was the imperatives of pacification. In the second part of the article we present three processes of memory that question forgetting as a support for pacification. We argue that the actor (s) referred to and their ways of resisting are plural, with collective identities and statements from the margins of public discourse. Through these dialogues, it is possible to recognize the existence of memory initiatives that name and stress the limits of the horizon of pacification and democratization imposed during the transitions of recent history.	en-US
dc.description	En este artículo reflexionamos sobre los procesos de memoria y tratamiento del pasado elaborados en/sobre Nicaragua. 1979 y 1990 marcan las fechas de las dos últimas transiciones políticas en la historia nicaragüense. A pesar de sus diferencias, ambos procesos sostuvieron que la construcción de la nueva Nicaragua pasaba por olvidar el pasado inmediato que les antecedía, ya fuese este el de la dictadura somocista o el de la revolución sandinista. Olvidar el pasado o utilizarlo instrumentalmente fueron los imperativos de la pacificación. En la segunda parte del artículo presentamos tres procesos de construcción de memorias que cuestionan el olvido como sostén de la pacificación. Argumentamos que la/os actora/es referidas/os y sus formas de resistir son plurales, con identidades colectivas y enunciamientos desde los márgenes del discurso público. A través de estos diálogos se puede reconocer la existencia de iniciativas de memoria que nombran y tensionan los límites del horizonte de pacificación y democratización impuesto durante las transiciones de la historia reciente.	es-ES
