Descripción:
La perspectiva de China sobre la evolución de sus relaciones con Estados Unidos, las condiciones, factores determinantes y la dinámica de sus principales componentes (conflicto, cooperación y competencia), ha sido frecuentemente colocada en segundo plano como resultado de esa mirada homogeneizadora del eurocentrismo y de la práctica política estadounidense. Los cambios y motivaciones del lado chino, resultan igualmente relevantes, si se toma en cuenta la diferencia de percepciones y motivaciones de un lado y de otro, así como los esfuerzos de Beijing por debilitar el ejercicio de la hegemonía estadounidense sobre sí misma, en función de restaurar su “normalidad histórica” y hacer retroceder la abrumadora influencia global de Occidente. En ese arduo camino, el “lastre” de la interdependencia económica ya no parece ser lo suficientemente pesado como para hacerse notar. Se ha producido por tanto un cambio de intereses políticos, desencadenado a su vez por cambios económicos. El presente artículo intenta una mirada propia sobre este importante tema, incorporando diferentes angulos y matices presentes en el debate interno chino.
