Lejos de ser exclusivamente religiosa, la distinción entre monoteísmo y politeísmo remite al viejo dilema de la unidad y la diversidad, así como a las diferencias existentes entre una visión unificada del cosmos y la pluralidad de sus manifestaciones. A través de un análisis comparativo, este artículo explora los vínculos entre la intolerancia y el monoteísmo, entendidos como dos movimientos semejantes que establecen una relación singular con la alteridad.
Far from being exclusively religious, the distinction between monotheism and polytheism forwards the old dilemma of unity and diversity, as well as the differences between a unified vision of the cosmos and the plurality of its manifestations. Through a comparative analysis, this article explores the links between intolerance and monotheism, understood as two similar movements that established a special relationship with alterity.
