| dc.description | El artículo tiene como principal objetivo analizar las expresiones metafóricas para designar las funcionalidades del espacio escuela y del maestro desde finales del siglo XVIII hasta la primera mitad de la centuria siguiente. Aunque la noción de «escuela-calabozo», sobre todo en el habla popular, mantuvo su presencia en el período tratado, esta fue compartida con otras construcciones lingüísticas que se perfilaron desde mediados del siglo XIX, en la medida que se definían nuevas concepciones acerca de la infancia y del papel del uso del espacio/aula en los actos correctivos. El texto concluye con el análisis del empleo de otra de las metáforas arquitectónicas más recurrentes en el pensamiento pedagógico, esta vez a inicios del siglo XX: «la ciudad» o «la república escolar», emergente con su connotación cívica, entre la multiplicidad de expresiones que confluyeron durante la ocupación militar estadounidense. | es |
| dc.description | This article is aimed at analyzing the main metaforic expressions to list the functionalities of the school space and that of the teacher since the late 18th century arms still the first half of the following one. even though the notion of the «DUNGEON-SCHOOL», in the popular speech remained present in the period we refer to, this has been shared with other linguistic constructions that took shape from the mid 19th century as new conceptions were to be defined concerning children in early school age and the role of using the classroom space bring the corrective actions. The text is concluding with the analysis of using another architectural metaforn more consistent in the pedagogic thought, this time, in the early 20th century: the emergent «city» or «school republic» with it's civic connotation, among the diversity expressions that came together during the American military occupation. | en |
