dc.description	The article presents the results of a doctoral thesis in Educational Sciences, which investigates rural high school education and a particular formative experience in a rural school with a mixed hostel as part of its educational proposal. The methodology takes a socio-anthropological perspective, with an ethnographic approach. This communication considers the rural high school shelter as a key element in the decisions that families and young people from rural contexts make for their school career; and it focuses on the practices and meanings that students and preceptors build around their first year in the hostel.	en-US
dc.description	El artículo presenta resultados de una tesis doctoral en Ciencias de la Educación, que indaga sobre la educación secundaria rural y la experiencia formativa que propone a los jóvenes que la transitan, en una escuela rural que cuenta con albergue mixto como parte de su propuesta educativa. La metodología toma una perspectiva socioantropológica, con enfoque etnográfico. Esta comunicación contempla al albergue de la secundaria rural como elemento clave en las decisiones que familias y jóvenes de contextos rurales despliegan para su trayectoria escolar; y pone foco en las prácticas y sentidos que los estudiantes y preceptores/as construyen en torno al ingreso al albergue en primer año.	es-ES
