| dc.description | Esta tese teve como objetivo investigar as trajetórias familiares e analisar suas influências sobre a formação educacional dos estudantes moradores da periferia urbana da região metropolitana do Recife, comunidade do Coque, que ingressaram nas universidades federais do Estado de Pernambuco no período de 2002 a 2012. Buscou-se compreender em que medida as trajetórias de vida das famílias inseridas na configuração social da comunidade do Coque influenciaram os jovens a ingressar em instituições de nível superior. A hipótese é que as trajetórias familiares estão diretamente imbricadas com o desenvolvimento educacional dos estudantes e, portanto, mesmo as famílias em condições socioeconômicas desfavoráveis têm significativa influência no sucesso escolar dos jovens. A metodologia adotada está direcionada ao campo das pesquisas qualitativas, tendo como foco as narrativas dos indivíduos. Utilizou-se a história oral como abordagem teórico-metodológica, que auxiliou na teorização, na análise do conteúdo e no estudo das categorias. As táticas e práticas identificadas no cotidiano das famílias pesquisadas auxiliaram no desvelamento das impressões, das trajetórias de vida e das memórias familiares. Pierre Bourdieu, Norbert Elias, Ecléa Bosi, Michel de Certeau entre outros estudiosos, serviram de aporte para as discussões acerca da categoria família, das abordagens metodológicas e seus procedimentos, das aproximações entre as instituições família-escola, das trajetórias de vida dos depoentes e da apresentação analítica das histórias e memórias dos indivíduos através das categorias a priore e das subcategorias. Identificou-se que a inexpressiva formação educacional dos membros das famílias pesquisadas os levam a depositar suas expectativas de mobilidade sociocultural e econômica na formação escolarizada dos jovens estudantes. Portanto, a influência exercida pelas famílias sobre os estudantes egressos das escolas públicas localizadas no entorno da comunidade do Coque que ingressaram no ensino superior, está diretamente relacionada com o desejo de mobilidade social a longo prazo. Assim, as práticas realizadas pelas famílias, por mais sutis e descompromissadas que possam parecer, constituem-se em táticas educativas que possibilitam ao indivíduo a obtenção de um desenvolvimento educativo e esse contribui significativamente para o seu sucesso escolar. | |

| dc.description | This thesis aimed to investigate the family trajectory and analyze their influences on the educational training of the students residents of the urban periphery of the metropolitan region of Recife, the Coque community, which entered the federal universities of the State of Pernambuco in the period from 2002 to 2012. It was sought to understand to what extent the family life trajectories inserted in the social configuration of the Coque community influenced young people to enter higher education institutions. The hypothesis is that family trajectories are directly imbricated with the educational development of the students and, therefore, even families with unfavorable socioeconomic conditions have a significant influence on the school success of the youngsters. The methodology adopted is directed to the field of qualitative research, focusing on the subjects' narratives. Oral history was used as a theoretical-methodological approach, something that aided in theorization, content analysis and the study of categories. The tactics and practices identified in the daily life of the families researched helped to unveil the impressions, life trajectories and family memories. Pierre Bourdieu, Norbert Elias, Ecléa Bosi, Michel de Certeau among other scholars, served as a contribution to discussions about the family category, methodological approaches and procedures, the approximations between the family-school institutions , the life trajectories of the concur and the analytical presentation of the stories and memories of individuals through the categories a priori and the subcategories. It was identified that the inexpressive educational training of the members of the families surveyed, led them to deposit their expectations of socio-cultural and economic mobility in the education of the young students. Therefore, the influence exerted by families on students graduating from public schools located around the Coque community that entered higher education is directly related to the long-term desire for social mobility. It was concluded that the practices performed by families, however subtle and uncompromising, may constitute educational tactics that enable the individual to obtain an educational development and that contributes significantly to their school success. | |
