| dc.description | Georg Simmel's socio-philosophical approach was inscribed and conceived within a relationship with France, and in particular with Émile Durkheim. To what extent was Mauss aware of Simmel's works, and how did he interpret them? To better understand these questions, we propose to sketch a reconstruction of the relations between the three thinkers. Our approach links the lives of the authors and their conceptions of sociology to a crucial moment in the birth of the discipline: that of its entry into the university, where it seeks to assert itself as a science of man. We will use, for this purpose, biographical elements, correspondence and documents related to the groups of researchers with whom Simmel, Durkheim and Mauss were in contact. | en-US |
| dc.description | A abordagem socio-filosófica de Georg Simmel se inscreveu e foi concebida no interior de uma relação com a França, e, em particular, com Émile Durkheim. Em que medida Mauss esteve a par dos trabalhos de Simmel, e como os interpretou? Para melhor entender essas questões, nos propomos esboçar uma reconstrução das relações entre os três pensadores. Nossa leitura interliga a vida dos autores e suas concepções de sociologia a um momento crucial do nascimento da disciplina: o de sua entrada na universidade, na qual ela procura se afirmar enquanto ciência do homem. Utilizaremos, para tanto, elementos biográficos, correspondências e documentos relacionados aos grupos de pesquisadores com os quais Simmel, Durkheim e Mauss estiveram em contato. | pt-BR |
