This paper presents a brief overview of Latin American art from the 1950s to the 1970s, taking into account the main transformations in the artistic field in the period. This analysis is based on a general reading of the implantation of the first modern cultural equipment, which has as its background the penetration of the constructive ideologies linked to the developmental projects. Then, it seeks to reflect on the advent of experimental art, from the case study of propositions elaborated by conceptual artists. This examination starts from a relevant theoretical repertoire for the sedimentation of the main currents of the artistic and political thought of the region. Analysis allows us to broaden the accounts of art history beyond the uniqueness of the object by inscribing it in a multifocal dialogue.Este trabalho apresenta um breve panorama da arte latino-americana, entre as décadas de 1950 a 1970, levando em consideração as principais transformações no campo artístico no período. Esta análise se pauta em uma leitura geral da implantação dos primeiros equipamentos culturais modernos, que tem como pano de fundo a penetração das ideologias construtivas atreladas aos projetos desenvolvimentistas. Em seguida, busca refletir sobre o advento da arte experimental, a partir do estudo de caso de proposições elaboradas por artistas conceituais. Esse exame parte de um repertório teórico relevante para a sedimentação das principais correntes do pensamento artístico e político da região. A análise permite ampliar os relatos da história da arte para além da unicidade do objeto, ao inscrevê-lo em um diálogo multifocal.
