Esta entrevista foi realizada em 13 de julho de 2017 na cidade de Nova Iorque (Estado Unidos) durante a realização do meu estágio doutoral no Center for Place, Culture and Politics (CPCP) da City University of New York - Graduate Center (CUNY-GC), sob coorientação no exterior do Prof. David Harvey. Ainda que marcadamente panorâmica, o objetivo de sua realização foi lançar luz sobre um recente momento da trajetória teórica do autor no tocante à sua elaboração interpretativa e analítica do processo de expansão global do capitalismo em sua fase neoliberal. O professor também discorre sobre o entrelaçamento de sua vida pessoal e acadêmica, o papel da Geografia Crítica, a atualidade de Marx, dentre outros temas caros à Geografia e ao Marxismo. Trata-se, por fim, de um convite à reflexão sobre aspectos políticos, econômicos, sociais a partir de problematizações e desafios postos pelas atuais formas de acumulação do capital em seus processos geográficos.This interview was held in July 13, 2017 during my period of stay as Visiting Scholar at Center for Place, Culture and Politics (CPCP) of The City University of New York – Graduate Center (CUNY-GC) located in New York (United States), under the formal supervision of Professor David Harvey. Although markedly panoramic, the purpose was to shed light on a recent moment in the author's theoretical trajectory regarding his interpretative and analytical elaboration of the process of global expansion of capitalism in its neoliberal phase. The professor also discusses the intertwining of his personal and academic life, the fundamental role of Critical Geography, Marx's actuality, among other themes valued by Geography and Marxism. Finally, it is an invitation to reflect upon political, economic and social aspects from the problematics and challenges put by current forms of capital accumulation in its geographical processes.
