| dc.description | El Conciliator de Pedro de Abano (1250-c. 1316) constituyó una codificación de la controversia escolástica entre filósofos y médicos que se desarrolló en el mundo latino durante la segunda mitad del siglo XIII. Este trabajo (a) compara las soluciones propuestas por el Conciliator a cuestiones con paralelos en el Comentario de Petrus Hispanus al De animalibus y al Questiones super de animalibus de Alberto Magno, (b) discute las soluciones de Pedro de Albano a las cuestiones centrales de la controversia y (c) considera su enfoque al problema de la relación entre la medicina y la filosofía. | es-ES |
| dc.description | The Conciliator by Peter of Abano (1250-c. 1316) constituted a codification of the scholastic controversy between philosophers and physicians that had developed in the West during the second half of the 13th century. This paper (a) compares the solutions provided by the Conciliator to questions with parallels in Peter of Spain’s commentary on De animalibus and Albert the Great’s Questiones super de animalibus, (b) discusses Peter of Abano’s solutions to the key issues of the controversy, and (c) considers his approach to the problem of the relationships between medicine and philosophy. | en-US |
