| dc.description | En su Periphyseon, Juan Escoto Eriugena presenta la noción de nihil per excellentiam. Es famosa la aplicación que hace de ella para elaborar su interpretación de la fórmula ex nihilo (o, como él prefiere: de nihilo) de Macabeos 7,28, en el libro III del Peryphyseon. El pensador carolingio defiende allí su idea de nihil entendida como la excelencia de la “super-esencialidad” divina. Sin embargo, también es posible encontrar en Eriugena un análisis de la noción de no-ser entendido como privación, ya presente en su De praedestinatione liber. Este trabajo pretende mostrar el íntimo vínculo entre este análisis y su interpretación de los Macabeos. | es-ES |
| dc.description | In his Periphyseon, John Scottus Eriugena presents the notion of nihil per excellentiam. The application he makes of it in order to elaborate his interpretation of the formula ex nihilo (or, as he prefers: de nihilo) from Maccabees 7,28, in book III of the Periphyseon, is famous. The Carolingian thinker defends there his idea of nihil understood as the excellence of the divine “super-essentiality”. However, it is also possible to find in Eriugena an analysis of the notion of non-being understood as privation, already present in his De praedestinatione liber. This paper intends to show the intimate bond between this analysis and his interpretation of Maccabees. | en-US |
