This article, centered on the image of the Mother of the Dictator and on the relationships that are established between the two, intends to show that the constant textual presence of Bendición Alvarado’s character has other significant implications. In this article, such implications are linked to cultural stereotypes distinctive to this continent, and are connected to the configuration of certain signs of identity combined with certain peculiarities in the development of the History of the Spanish-American peoples. | en-US |

Este artículo, centrado en la imagen de la madre del dictador y en las relaciones que se establecen entre ambos, quiere demostrar que la obsesiva repetición textual de la que es objeto el personaje de Bendición Alvarado posee otras implicancias significativas, vinculadas esta vez con estereotipos culturales propios del continente, con la configuración de determinados signos de identidad conjugados con ciertas particularidades del desarrollo de la historia de los pueblos hispanoamericanos. | es-ES |
