dc.description	This article seeks, from the exercise of critical comparison of the texts Arte Popular y Sociedad en América Latina (1977) and Culturas Híbridas. Estrategias para entrar y salir de la modernidad (1990), both of the authorship of philosopher Néstor García Canclini, to test and allow an understanding of the concept of the “postmodern turn" in Latin American critical theory of mid to late twentieth century. Particularly, it is intended to notice its relevance to the configuration of a thought regarding the social function of art, its relationship with the communication field and the gradual consolidation of the cultural industries in Latin America.	en-US
dc.description	El presente artículo pretende, a partir del ejercicio de comparación teórica de los textos Arte Popular y Sociedad en América Latina (1977) y Culturas Híbridas. Estrategias para entrar y salir de la modernidad (1990), ambos de autoría del filósofo Néstor García Canclini, ensayar y permitir la comprensión del concepto de “giro posmoderno” en la teoría crítica latinoamericana de mediados y fines del siglo XX. Particularmente, interesa notar su relevancia para la configuración de un pensamiento respecto a la función social del arte, su relación con el campo de la comunicación y la progresiva consolidación de las industrias culturales en Latinoamérica.	es-ES
