| dc.description | "Identity" is a cultural construction that has developed in space and time from the emotions of those who have inhabited it. There arises the phenomenon of architecture, understood as "the process of inhabit with sense". The Architecture Research Workshop at the University of Chile led by prof. Andrew Weil has been proposed to reveal the national identity through the exercise of architectural proposals originated in the imaginary city of Santiago, introduced by Carlos Franz in his essay The wall buried. The findings of the research conducted since 2008, this article develops a general theory of architectural fiction, which weaves through the concepts: text, context and meta-text. From it, we analyze three architectural projects developed in the research workshop, which we stand out for their ability to show key aspects of our identity as Chilean people. | en-US |
| dc.description | "La Identidad" es una construcción cultural que se ha desarrollado en el espacio y en el tiempo a partir de las emociones de quienes lo han habitado. Allí se origina el fenómeno arquitectura, entendido éste como "el proceso de habitar con sentido". El Taller de investigación de arquitectura de la Universidad de Chile dirigido por el profesor Andrés Weil, se ha propuesto develar la identidad nacional mediante el ejercicio de propuestas arquitectónicas originadas en la ciudad imaginaria de Santiago, que nos presenta Carlos Franz en su ensayo La muralla enterrada. De las conclusiones de la investigación que se realiza desde el 2008, en este artículo se desarrolla una teoría general de la ficción arquitectónica, que se hilvana a través de los conceptos: texto, contexto y meta-texto. A partir de ella, se analizan tres propuestas de arquitectura desarrolladas en el Taller de investigación, las que destacamos por su capacidad de mostrarnos aspectos esenciales de nuestra identidad como chilenos. | es-ES |
