| dc.description | This work presents a set of objects of bodily use assigned to the Formative period (ca. 1500 BC-1000 AD) recovered from various sites in the Cajón Valley, the Santa María Valley and the western foothills of the Aconquija mountain range in the southern Calchaquíes Valleys of northwest Argentina. The sample comprises 1973 items, including beads, pendants, appliqués, bracelets and rings made of different raw materials: rocks, minerals, shells, ceramics and metals. Items are quantified and analyzed by type, raw material, shape and color. This work offers discussion and contextualization of the sample as it relates to other objects of bodily use published from the study area. | en-US |
| dc.description | Este trabajo presenta el conjunto de objetos de uso corporal recuperados en distintos sitios asignados al período Formativo (ca. 1500 AC-1000 DC) del Valle del Cajón, el Valle de Santa María y la Falda Occidental del Aconquija, en el extremo meridional de los Valles Calchaquíes, Noroeste argentino. La muestra está compuesta por 1973 piezas, incluyendo cuentas, pendientes, apliques, brazaletes y anillos confeccionados en distintas materias primas: piedra, mineral, valva, cerámica y metal. Se cuantifican y se analizan de acuerdo a tipos, materias primas, formas y colores y se ofrece una discusión y contextualización de la muestra en relación a otros objetos de uso corporal ya publicados procedentes del área de estudio. | es-ES |
