Epu Püllü, Epu Pillan and other sexuality-affectivity themes in the Mapuche context: Approaching Poyewün

dc.description	Using a video from social media about sexual diversity within the Mapuche people as a starting point, this article reflects on affectivity and sexuality in the contemporary Mapuche context. The video features the concepts of Epu Püllü and Epu Pillan and invites dialogue, creating tension around the feminine/masculine, the body, spirituality and, fundamentally, binary sexuality. This article argues that these tensions are rooted in colonial masculinity pacts that make female and feminized bodies invisible within Mapuche society. It proposes the concept of Poyewün as a vanishing point for these pacts, which, from a Mapuche epistemological perspective, requires reviving the debate on love, advancing toward decolonization of spirituality and bodies in the reciprocity of affective bonds, which would enable the rejected bodies to emerge, forcing us to revisit Mapuche history and current affairs from our own perspective. To prepare this text, researchers held group and individual interviews with people who identify as Mapuche and are recognized activists within the movement. These interviews were held face-to-face until the emergence of COVID-19 when researchers added an online modality.	en-US
dc.description	El presente artículo reflexiona sobre afectividad y sexualidad en contexto mapuche a partir del debate que ocasiona la exhibición de un video en redes sociales referente a la diversidad sexual, que pone en escena los conceptos de Epu Püllü y Epu Pillan. El video, como invitación al diálogo, tensiona lo femenino/masculino, el cuerpo, la espiritualidad y, fundamentalmente, la sexualidad binaria. Estas tensiones serían el resultado de pactos coloniales de masculinidad que invisibilizan los cuerpos femeninos y feminizados al interior de la sociedad mapuche. Como punto de fuga de estos pactos se plantea el concepto de Poyewün, el que desde una perspectiva epistemológica mapuche requiere recuperar el debate sobre el amor, avanzando a la descolonización de la espiritualidad y los cuerpos en la reciprocidad de los vínculos afectivos, permitiendo la emergencia de los cuerpos negados, obligándonos a revisitar la historia y actualidad mapuche desde una perspectiva propia. Para la elaboración de este texto se han realizado encuentros con personas que se identifican como mapuche y son reconocidas como activistas al interior del movimiento, entrevistas colectivas e individuales de forma personal y telemática. Las modalidades virtuales se integraron en el transcurso de la investigación producto del contexto Covid-19.	es-ES
