This research is an interdisciplinary analysis of the politicization of the media. The journalistic coverage of the social protest was taken as a sample, in the framework of the 2019 National Strike, carried out by the two most watched television news programs in Colombia. This work includes a characterization of television journalism from Pierre Bourdieu's notion of field, through which the neoliberal and oligopolistic panorama of which the media are part is evidenced. In addition, a reflection is made from the concept of the social enunciated by Nikolas Rose and Didier Fassin, authors through whom the process of depoliticization of journalism is analyzed and a repoliticization of the profession is subsequently proposed. Throughout this work, and through the study of the spoken-written-visual journalistic language, it is identified that the journalism of Noticias Caracol and Noticias RCN takes a position in favor of the government, the public force and the status quo.
